This position is part of the USAID-funded Partnerships Incubator, a five-year project running from October 2019 to September 2024.
About the Role
As a Financial & Operations Management Consultant, you'll play a crucial role in our Partnerships Incubator project. Your primary responsibility will be to oversee and optimize our financial processes with meticulous attention to detail. From managing budgets to supervising subcontractors and consultants, you'll ensure financial clarity and accuracy at every step. This position offers an exciting opportunity to drive our organization's financial success while collaborating with internal teams and upholding the highest standards of excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Budget Tracking and Management: Monitor and manage budgets to ensure adherence to spending plans.
- Financial Statements and Reporting: Prepare financial statements and reports, analyze data to provide valuable insights.
- Accrual Accounting: Facilitate accrual accounting processes to ensure accurate financial reporting.
- Subcontractor and Consultant Oversight: Supervise subcontractors and consultants to ensure project objectives and financial compliance are met.
- Payment Review: Verify accuracy and compliance of payments processed by team members.
- Inventory Management: Oversee inventory operations to ensure accurate tracking of assets and materials.
- Financial Reviews and Audits: Coordinate financial reviews and audits to maintain compliance and accuracy.
- Additional Tasks: Execute other financial responsibilities as assigned by senior management.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field with significant relevant experience.
- Minimum of 15 years of experience in finance, preferably with a focus on USAID projects.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in financial management software and MS Office Suite, particularly Excel.
- Commitment to maintaining ethical and professional standards.
