Position Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated Finance Officer to join our team at our company, playing a pivotal role in supporting our financial operations during the current crisis. As a Finance Officer, you will be responsible for a wide array of finance-related tasks, including recording daily transactions, ensuring accurate ledger entries, managing payroll, and generating essential financial reports. Additionally, you will collaborate closely with our finance manager to ensure efficient resource utilization and compliance with donor regulations and procedures.

Essential Functions:
- Assist in managing financial operations in Israel under the guidance of the Finance Manager, the company Israel.
- Ensure adherence to financial standards in accounting, internal controls, and reporting processes to optimize resource allocation.
- Verify budget availability and ensure compliance with donor procedures prior to disbursement of funds.
- Provide support and leadership for financial tasks related to the company's Cash Assistance Program and other emergency response activities.
- Undertake additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Proficiency in Bookkeeping (Type 1 and 2 required, Type 3 a plus).
- Minimum of two years' proven experience in bookkeeping.
- Experience within an international organization preferred.
- Strong grasp of basic bookkeeping principles and accounting practices.
- Excellent data entry skills and numerical proficiency.
- Familiarity with accounting software such as NetSuite preferred.
- Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Outstanding organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a multicultural team, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.
- Fluency in English and Hebrew required; additional languages advantageous.
