About the Job:
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Finance Controller to join our leadership team in Wilsonville, Oregon. Reporting directly to the President, the Finance Controller will be instrumental in overseeing all financial functions. This role requires a strategic thinker with profound experience in financial modeling, P&L management, and an understanding of a retail business environment.
The ideal candidate will have over 10 years of experience in accounting and finance, including at least 3 years of hands-on experience with NetSuite, and a proven track record in companies generating at least $15 million in sales. Retail industry experience is preferred.
Key Responsibilities:
Forecast and strategize for the business's future, promote growth, and advise stakeholders.
Identify financial risks and implement plans to mitigate them.
Advise the President on the feasibility of operational and growth objectives based on financial data and forecasts.
Manage the company's financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, balance sheet management, expense management, tax planning, and banking relationships.
Lead and supervise the accounting, finance, and human resources teams, ensuring effective performance, development, and operational efficiency across the company's administrative functions.
Provide oversight of payroll administration.
Ensure compliance with all statutory laws and federal regulations.
Collaborate with executive team members.
Provide insightful financial analysis and guidance on all plans, targets, and business drivers.
Monitor company contracts and lease agreements.
Track inventory trends with Supply Chain Management.
Utilize strong working knowledge of Office 365, email communication, and team applications.
Lead collaboration with CPA firm to ensure effective tax planning and timely filing compliance.
Provide evaluations on potential mergers and acquisitions.
Education & Experience:
Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or equivalent.
Over 10 years of progressive hands-on accounting and finance experience, managing direct reports in a medium-sized company.
At least 3 years of experience with NetSuite.
Proven track record in companies generating at least $15 million in profit.
Experience in financial modeling, financial engineering, P&L management, multi-state tax issues, and sales commission management.
Retail industry experience is preferred.
Knowledge & Preferred Attributes:

Understanding of governmental regulations and reporting requirements.
Understanding of general taxation rules and applications for state and local governments.
Knowledge of personal and corporate federal tax returns.
