Responsibilities
• Assist Accounting Manager with month-end and year-end close out• Maintain accurate fixed asset records• Reconcile bank accounts• Prepare and remit funds to Charter Schools• Ensure accuracy of revenue/expense account codes and journal entries• Prepare financial spreadsheets and reports• Train and support other district personnel• Process positive pay for manual checks• Manage and submit escheated items to the State• Assist other finance personnel as needed
Requirements
• General knowledge of accounting practices and governmental accounting principles• Ability to follow policies and procedures• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint• Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure• Ability to read and interpret financial statements• Associate's degree in accounting or related field preferred• At least three years of accounting or finance experience• High school graduate or equivalent required
