Overview:
A Field Sales Representative achieves sales volume and distribution objectives of the company
and supplier by achieving their performance goals through proper planning, organization, and
execution. The ideal candidate should possess great communication skills, excellent
organizational skills, the ability to work independently, and build strong relationships within
the territory. In this role, you will be responsible for account development and retention, new
account acquisition and face to face order taking within your assigned geography.
Responsibilities:
? Follow established procedures and guidelines to promote and sell the organizations
products within an assigned geographic area, or list of customer accounts to meet
sales targets.
? Prospects and opens new accounts through personal visits
? Master of Follow-up skills
? Manage/Maintain appropriate store inventory levels
?
? May troubleshoot and handle customer related inquiries.
? Job duties may include working nights and weekends on promotional activities and
other account activities.
? Responds to buyer requests and inquiries with a sense of urgency and timeliness
? Ensures accounts are current on payments and helps to collect payments when
necessary
? Must be able to travel frequently within established geographic area
Qualifications:
? Minimum of 1 year of related experience in sales
? Strong persuasive presentations skills, including the ability to speak to different types
of buyers
? Proficient PC skills using MS Office and other various computer programs including
presentation software
? Must be a results-oriented professional with verbal/written communication skills using
diplomacy and discretion as well as customer service skills
? Ability to multi-task, work independently and/or within a team, pay attention to detail
and meet deadlines
? Reporting skills
? Utilize sound judgement and problem-solving skills
? Ability to work in fast-paced, high-volume, team environment
? Must have reliable transportation, Maintains clean driving record and current, valid
state driver's license
? Background or experience in the beverage or restaurant/bar industry a plus.
Physical Requirements:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to, stand, sit; talk,
hear, and use hands and fingers to operate a computer and telephone, The employee must
regularly lift up to 50 pounds and will occasionally lift up to 100 pounds.
