Job Summary Apply current tools and technology to develop action plans to promote station image to students on and off campus as well as the community Conduct written and oral presentations to other student organizations during their meetings about WOLF Radio and how the station can work with student organizations Demonstrate teamwork and collaboration to ensure Remote Coordinator and station members can properly follow through with action plans for events Apply current tools and technology to engage students in surveys and other promotional activities Develops written content, primarily feature stories, news releases and media advisories, but may also include blog posts, social media content, marketing copy, talking points and other forms of communication to help promote the station Demonstrate an understanding of professional ethical principles to build relationships with new media contacts and maintain relationships with existing contacts Work ethically in pursuit of accuracy, fairness, and diversity to ensure all communication is cohesive with the brand image Demonstrate teamwork through work with GM and OM to build brand awareness in students on individual and personal levels through digital media and/or apps Think critically, creatively, and independently to develop and maintain logos. Demonstrate an understanding of professional ethical principles to communicates with Content Marketing Director to make sure shows and podcasts have equal promotion time at all station events Practice teamwork with the Content Marketing Director to get promotional information for on air entities Apply basic numerical and statistical concepts through surveys and delegate to public relations team to conduct across campus Apply current tools and technologies to develop station contests through on-air, in-person, and/or digital announcements. Write correctly and clearly to maintain accurate spreadsheets of all contest winners Think critically, creatively, and independently to write and produce on-air promotional recordings for Production to create Demonstrate teamwork to work with Lead Graphic Designer to design and flyers, posters, handbills, or pamphlets Develop professional job skills by attending any staff leadership & job skill enhancement training Demonstrate professionalism by attending staff meetings and perform functions as deemed appropriate by Operations Manager or Program Director Lead WiTs and other student volunteers in various public relations work Utilize teamwork and leadership to train and mentor staff and volunteers. Apply current tools and technologies to assist with station remotes and events Adhere to all Policy and Procedures Report any and all violations to GM and OM Required Qualifications All students must have completed one or more of the following courses:
In house WIT Training Course, COMM 3351-Radio Program Production, COMM-3352 Fundamentals of Television Production, COMM-3353 Fundamentals of Film & Video Production, COMM 4421-Radio Practicum, COMM 4485 ¿ Sports Communication, and COMM-3354 Digital Social Media & Society. Student must have a 2.0 GPA or higher. Must be enrolled in a minimum of 6 credit hours. Preferred Qualifications Skilled with Adobe Audition Physical Requirements or Working Conditions Frequently moves Audio/Visual equipment weighing up to 50 pounds across campus for various classrooms and events needs.
