Other duties may be assigned. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.Introduces, explains, and provides resources to new families utilizing public schools for the first time.Will provide educative workshops for parents of refugee studentsInitiates outreach to adults in the refugee or immigrant communities.Engage parents to become effective allies and advocates for their children's educationEducates and promotes cross cultural understanding and integration into the community and school system.Provide diversity training for public-school teachers, administrators, and affiliates in the Greater Richmond areaFacilitate and connect students to individualized tutoring, mentorship and academic counseling servicesAssists with the recruitment, training and monitoring of tutors for students in academic needMaintain accurate records and complete reports in a timely fashion.Represents the Agency in the community and workplace in a professional and ethical manner.Demonstrates sensitivity to the service population's cultural and socioeconomic characteristics.Demonstrates strong interpersonal, decision-making, problem-solving, oral, and written skills.Utilizes a basic knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: High School Diploma or equivalent required with three years of related experience.
