The Facilities Specialist assists in the completion of event set-up and tear down, general housekeeping and custodial activities. 80% setup & 20% housekeeping.
This role will pay a wage of $17 to $18.

Proudly managed by Oakview Group Management, the facility boasts 154,000 square feet of flexible space, accommodating a wide range of events from 10-3,000 attendees. Set-up and tear down including: risers, chairs, tables, staging, dance floors, carpet squares, pipe and drape and other items as needed for events at facility.
Execute accurate and timely completion of cleaning checklists and room sets. Handle folding chairs, stacking chairs, tables of various shapes and sizes, drapery and skirting. Responsible for safe use of various supplies including variety of cleaning chemicals, mops, brooms, shovels and scrapers. Operate an assortment of equipment including: buffers/burnishers, rider sweepers/scrubbers, walk behind scrubbers, blowers, vacuums, snow removal equipment and others as needed. Adequately perform post-event cleanup and trash removal. Perform light maintenance tasks as assigned. May occasionally work with heavy equipment or power tools. Report to supervisors any defective equipment, facility damage, incorrect/improper set-up and areas of the facility requiring cleaning, in a timely manner. Provide excellent customer service assistance to internal and external clients. High school diploma, GED, or related trade school training; valid driver's license; and interpersonal skills necessary to deal effectively with guests, vendors, staff, and other facility users. Be reliable, honest, dependable, and punctual and have strong customer service. Be a self-starter; have ability to take directions; and be able to work with minimal supervision. Physical Demands: Requires frequent walking/standing (possibly uneven surfaces), climbing, stooping, kneeling, crawling, working in cramped positions reaching, pushing, pulling, driving, lifting and carrying up to 50 lbs. on a daily basis. Ability to frequently and safely climb and navigate stairs, work on roofs and catwalks over 50ft high. Good eye and hand coordination and reflexes for the safe operation of equipment. Good visual acuity with or without corrective lenses. Ability to operate a keyboard and mouse on a computer. Work Environment: This position requires work inside and/or outside of the building, as needed by events and is subjected to changing climate and adverse weather conditions. The worker is subjected to noise. Noise levels will vary depending on job task and events in the building. Knowledge of safe operation of tools, such as sharp wheel cutters, reamers, drills, grinders, and equipment such as service carts, scissor lifts & boom lifts, etc. Note: The physical demands and work environment are a representation of what must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
