Summary
:
The Facility Equipment Specialist role is to identify materials, resources, equipment. The specialist will review the drawings and schematics, draft technical drawings, provide maintenance and technical support, and monitor all machines in the warehouse. This role also includes the manufacturing, configuring, packing and prepping orders for shipments.
Responsibilities:
Determines departmental equipment needs; prepares specifications; inspects equipment received from vendors; makes recommendations in connection with the purchase, operation, and maintenance.
Verify product specs with equipment settings.
Monitor the equipment as it operates, monitor the process-pace/productivity, and recognize when something is out of adjustment.
Assembling and dissembling machinery as needed.
Inspecting equipment for malfunctions, promptly repairing defective components, Create reports on system failures.
Analyze schematics and blueprints to maintain equipment reliability.
Prepare, submit, and maintain records of work orders and parts issued.
Plan, organize, and communicate responsibilities and priorities to ensure the successful operation of the department.
Assist on various special projects for office equipment systems i.e. printer, computer, and monitor setups for all new hires.
Responsible for good housekeeping in the shop and at the job site.
Perform QC analysis, identify product changes and segregate as required.
Completing each repair job in a timely, efficient, and professional manner.
Demonstrate an understanding and adherence to all work safety policies, procedures, and governing requirements.
Maintain all tools and equipment in clean, safe, working order.
Experience:
Operating a bagging machine, 2+ years
Operating rotary packing machines, 2+ years
Operating industrial ribbon blender for dry products, Not required, but a plus.
General machine operation, 3+ years
Forklift Certified, 3+ years sit-down gas and electric.
Warehouse, 3+ years
Material Handling, 3+ years
Machine maintenance and troubleshooting, 2+ years
Production & assembly line, 3+ years
Hands-on experience with calibration and disassembly
Requires meticulous attention to detail.
Excellent problem solving and decision-making abilities.
Displays strong work ethic.
EDUCATION
: Bachelor's Degree in electronics engineering, engineering or logistics, related field; or equivalent combination of post high school education and equivalent work experience.
Technical Proficiency:
Proficient in Email, Microsoft Office products, including Excel, Outlook and Word.
Physical Requirements
Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
Prolonged periods standing at the ship station, heavy lifting, and/or sitting on forklifts.
Ability to perform the following physical tasks: sitting, standing, stooping, stretching, walking, bending, twisting, reaching, performing repetitive motions, crunch, crawl, climbing stairs and ladders, carrying boxes, and repeat motions.
Exposure to hazards. Includes variety of physical conditions, such as proximity to moving mechanical parts, moving vehicles, electrical current, working on scaffolding and high places, exposure to high heat or exposure to chemicals
