We have the opportunity to bring in a high-energy, tenacious, and ambitious individual with a strong work ethic and integrity to join the team.The ID1 Facilities Water Services Technician at Micron Technology, Inc., is responsible for working in a team environment involving the operation, maintenance, monitoring, and quality control of our new innovative technology Water, UPW, and wastewater systems for the Boise site. The Water Services Technician ensures our UPW, and wastewater systems are operating at optimum efficiency and within specified parameters including any regulatory compliance. In the event of a system failure, proficient in restoring services as soon as possible.ResponsibilitiesIndependently performs technical tasksFollows general instructions on new assignmentsWorks on assignments that are semi-routine in natureApplies judgment in quickly resolving routine problemsTroubleshoots problems where reference materials are availableApplies limited judgment in resolving non-routine problemsMonitors, analyzes, and addresses issues for area processes each shiftSupports and monitors area processes and addresses/advances issuesMonitors equipment to resolve equipment issues and improve system stabilitySupports area cost-reduction activitiesProvides effective and timely support to resolve equipment issuesIdentifies and resolves chronic equipment alarm issuesIdentifies and reduces equipment defects to improve qualityDrives a culture of TPM including TPM metrics, CIP items, MTAGs, and proceduresAbility and flexibility to work 12-hour shifts with a shift rotation every 4 monthsAssists with installation, modification, and removal of facilities equipmentMaintains applicable discipline knowledge, such as water quality regulations, hydraulic, mechanical, electrical, and chemical principlesMaintains tools and equipment in working orderIdentifies and responds according to alarm conditionsIdentifies abnormal operating conditions and high usage of UPW, Reclaim, and the wastewater treatment systemsCompletes all assigned PMs and work orders in a timely and detailed mannerQualificationsRelevant degree and/or appropriate certifications or licensing and/or equivalent experience and/or equivalent military training/experienceAbility to work 12 hours shifts (3 on/4 off and 4 on/3 off), and potentially rotate from days to nights every 4 monthsPreferred qualificationsAssociate's or Bachelor's Degree with one year of water or wastewater experienceAs a world leader in the semiconductor industry, Micron is dedicated to your personal wellbeing and professional growth.
