Job Description Skyborne Opportunity We are looking for skilled and talented Facilities Manager who is responsible for the effective functioning of Skyborne Airline Academy facilities to provide an efficient and safe working environment for employees and students by using best business practices to manage resources, services and processes to meet the needs of the company.
Facilities include administrative buildings, dormitories and office buildings. Manage and coordinate the staff and activities to ensure optimal functioning and maintenance of all building properties. Direct the maintenance of all building systems including mechanical, electrical, fire/life safety and plumbing. Prepare and implement preventive maintenance schedules.
Manage and train employees in the general maintenance of buildings, grounds, infrastructures, and equipment. Ensure facilities maintenance work follows safety standards, conforms to specifications, and work orders are tracked and completed within the budgeted guidelines. Oversee contractors engaged for facility renovation projects. Manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. Ensure that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhere to approved budgets.

Conduct and document regular facilities inspections. Ensure compliance with health and safety standards and industry codes.  Supervise maintenance and repair of facilities and equipment.  Oversee facility refurbishment and renovations.  Implement best practice processes to increase efficiency.  Obtain quotes from vendors and suppliers and calculate and compare costs for goods and services to maximize cost-effectiveness.  Negotiate contracts to optimize delivery and cost saving.  Coordinate and monitor activities of contract suppliers.  Manage contractor and vendor relationships.  Manage and review service contracts to ensure facility management needs are being met.  Ensure delivery schedules, quantity and quality criteria are met.  Check completed work by contractors and vendors.  Verify payment and invoicing match contract pricing and monitor expenses and payments.  Plan and monitor appropriate facility management staffing levels.  Ensure efficient utilization of facility maintenance staff.  Performance manages, develop and train staff.  Generate and present regular reports and reviews of facility-related budgets, finances, contracts, expenditures and purchases.  Develop and implement cost reduction initiatives.  Advise on and monitor energy efficiency.  Oversee environmental health and safety.  Assure security of the facility.  Respond to facility and equipment alarms and system failures. Provide prompt response to requests and issues from facility occupants. Counsel and evaluate facilities department staff members.  Participate in activities including supporting and promoting the safety culture, reporting of all aviation safety related issues via the feedback system, and adhere to the processes related to accomplishing SMS goals. Qualifications Professional requirements are as follows:
High school diploma or equivalent required. Minimum of five (5) years' experience in facilities maintenance. Working knowledge of principles and practices of project management, electrical and mechanical systems, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, procurements and contracts, and sound knowledge of health, safety and environmental regulations.  Experience in construction, maintenance and all facets of facility operation.  Previous experience in supervising building maintenance and cleaning crews.  Valid Driver's License, where applicable. Contingent to employment, all candidates must pass a drug screening and background check, along with TSA badging-if required for your role.  SOFTWARE/SKILLS REQUIREMENTS: The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required. Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).  Other software programs may be required, as needed.  Strong mechanical aptitude skills. Strong electrical aptitude skills. Strong plumbing aptitude skills. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Demonstrated problem solving ability. Customer service oriented, able to work with vendors and employees alike.  Ability to interact with various levels of management in a professional manner. Ability to adapt to changing schedules and high-pressure situations.  Excellent project management skills.  Ability to use and operate saws, drills, rotor, hammer, screwdrivers, wrenches, multi meters, carpet cleaning machine.  Ability to dry wall, woodwork, paint, caulk, work with lumber and molding, and air conditioner and refrigerator installation. Additional Information Benefits
Flexible hours will be required for this role. Salary range: $50,000-60,000.
