DescriptionJob Summary: The Facilities Maintenance Technician provides facilities-related support to all locations within the Planned Parenthood Columbia Willamette affiliate. The Facilities Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing assigned maintenance, repair, and replacement tasks related to furniture, fixtures, equipment, and building systems at all PPCW locations (currently eight). This position is based in Northeast Portland, OR but is expected to maintain facilities throughout our affiliate including Vancouver (WA), Beaverton, Milwaukie, Salem, Bend and Ontario, OR. Reliable transportation required, travel frequency and reimbursement will be discussed in the interview process.
Job Responsibilities: Based on direction from the Director of FM & IT, or their delegate, the Facilities Maintenance Technician will work with appropriate site staff to provide resolutions on a wide range of facility issues. The Facilities Maintenance Technician will interact with the PPCW trouble ticket system to receive work assignments and to track progress of those assignments through to completion. Submitted trouble tickets are the highest priority for this position and will be distributed by the team leadership to FM Technicians, as necessary to meet PPCW policies, procedures, and service level agreements. In coordination with the supervisor, Facilities Maintenance Technician will provide input to plans and strategies to complete assigned tasks.
Required Skills and Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent.Three (3) years of trades type work that demonstrates a broad, multi-skill capability such as carpentry; light plumbing; light electrical; painting; and mechanical abilities.Ability to work early morning, evenings, or weekend hours.Demonstrated experience working independently, with limited direct supervision.Experience in the use and operation of tools; may need to use personal tools from time-to-time.Must have and maintain a valid driver's license.Must own a vehicle in good working condition that can withstand an average of 50 miles of travel per week (reimbursed)Preferred Skills and Qualifications: Experience in healthcare setting or similar public organization.Knowledge of security protocols and environments.Compensation: $21.82 - 26.08 depending upon experience
