12 Month Position Details: Summary of Duties:
The Manager of Facilities and Operations at the Tree Fruit Research and Extension Center (TFREC) in Wenatchee, WA is a high-level position charged with positioning the Center for long term success, in partnership with a talented team and innovative stakeholders. The Manager oversees all day-to-day operations and facility management at TFREC with oversight of all REC staff, including a facilities manager, farm manager and administrative manager. Responsibilities include oversight of Center departments that manage facilities and operations at all TFREC sites. Assisting with developing and maintaining operating policies and procedures, managing operations, ensuring equipment and facility maintenance, and maintaining inventories. Preparing and administering TFREC budgets, monitoring expenses, and maintaining TFREC budget authority. Work closely with all programs represented at TFREC and stakeholders, provide recommendations to an endowment advisory committee for facility funding needs and reporting of facility endowment funds use, engage with local USDA-Agriculture Research Service on facilities-related topics, and with College of Agricultural, Human, and Natural Resource Sciences (CAHNRS) Operations and WSU Facilities Services, and interact with other research and Extension center directors/managers through current monthly calls with dean/designee Required Qualifications: A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field and four (4) years of progressively responsible experience in a field related to the functional managerial area which has included at least one (1) year of supervisory experience. Any combination of relevant education and experience may be substituted for the educational requirement on a year-for-year basis.
An additional two years of supervisory experience (for an overall requirement of three years of supervisory experience)

Preferred Qualifications: Knowledge of Tree Fruit Industry
Experience/background with Production Agriculture

Monthly Salary : $6,252.57 - $9,779.66 | In accordance with RCW 49.58.110, the above salary reflects the full salary range for this position. Individual placement within the range is based on the candidate's current experience, education, skills, and abilities related to the position.
