Job Summary:
As a Metal Fabrication Manager/Estimator/Drafting Manager, requires a blend of project management, estimation, and drafting skills to oversee and deliver fabrication projects on time, within budget, and to client specifications. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in metal fabrication, excellent organizational abilities, and the capacity to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field preferred.
Proven experience in metal fabrication management, estimation, and drafting, preferably in metal fabrication or manufacturing or construction environment.
Proficiency in project management tools and software (e.g., Microsoft Project, Primavera, Procore).
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret technical documents and blueprints.
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
AISC knowledge would be very beneficial
Leadership skills to effectively manage teams and collaborate across departments.
Knowledge of metal fabrication processes, materials, and industry best practices.
Familiarity with relevant AWS codes, standards, and regulations.
Detail-oriented with a focus on delivering high-quality results.
Certifications such as PMP (Project Management Professional) or similar are a plus.
Quality Assurance:
Implement and maintain quality control processes to ensure the highest standard of metal fabrication.
Monitor project performance to ensure compliance with relevant codes, standards, and regulations.
Conduct regular site visits and inspections to assess work quality and progress.
Safety and Compliance:
Adhere to safety protocols and procedures to prevent accidents, injuries, and hazardous situations.
Operate equipment following safety guidelines and industry regulations.
Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
Participate in safety meetings, training sessions, and audits to promote a culture of safety awareness and compliance.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Project Management:
Plan, execute, and finalize projects according to strict deadlines and within budget.
Define project scope, goals, and deliverables that support business goals in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders.
Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, and budgets.
Coordinate resources, both internal and external, for the flawless execution of projects.
Ensure that all projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
Estimation:
Prepare accurate and timely project cost estimates.
Analyze drawings, specifications, proposals, and other documentation to prepare time, cost, and labor estimates.
Collaborate with engineers, architects, clients, and subcontractors to gather necessary information for estimates.
Review and evaluate cost estimates, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance with requirements.
Drafting Management:
Supervise and lead a team of drafters, ensuring quality and timely completion of drawings.
Review and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications.
Provide guidance and support to drafters in creating detailed drawings for fabrication.
Ensure drafting standards and procedures are followed consistently.
Coordinate with engineering and production teams to resolve design and drawing issues.
Communication:
Serve as the primary point of contact for project progress, changes, and updates.
Address, inquiries, concerns, and requests in a professional and timely manner.
Build and maintain strong relationships through clear communication and exceptional service.
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to lift 60-80 pounds at times
Must be able to work on a ladder or at heights
Must be able to work in confined spaces as small as 30" Diameter
Must be able to equip/use fall arrest equipment (Harness, Lanyards, Etc.)
Must be able to equip/use a respirator or fresh air hood.
