Our client is seeking a Chief Inspector. This position plans, directs, and executes inspection standards, methods, and procedures used by the 135 General Operating Manual, 145 Repair Station Manual, and ensures compliance with all FAA regulations and manufacturer's recommendations. Responsible for direction, planning, and laying out details of inspection standards methods, and procedures on all phases of aircraft inspections, maintenance, repairs and/or alterations performed by the Charter Maintenance and Repair Station, complying with FAA Regulations and Manufacturers recommendations, also responsible for required inspection items, FAA required Airworthiness Documents, maintenance releases and logbook entries. Reports to: The Director of Maintenance Duties and Responsibilities
- Perform inspection functions of the repair station as outlined, in accordance with the 135 General Operating Manual, 145 Repair Station Manual, ensure all procedures follow and match requirements of approved Manuals.
- Maintain 135 General Operating Manual, Repair Station Manual and make all necessary revisions.
- Maintain Repair Station Capabilities List
- Verify capability to perform work prior to performance of work.
- Assure that all inspections are properly performed on all completed work.
- Redirect and correct improper maintenance tasks or procedures.
- Ensure familiarity of all applicable Federal Aviation Regulations, manufacturer's procedures/recommendations, and other pertinent data as it relates to the item of work being performed.
- Maintain and verify all 135 General Operating Manual, Repair Station required documents/publications/technical data.
- Maintain and verify all training records for technicians.
- Responsible for implementation of internal and external training as required and as needed.
- Audit and verify all working documentation prior to completion and filing in aircraft records.
- Responsible for exercising final inspection authority and authorized to sign any and all forms confirming compliance related to inspection, repair, and return to service.
- Attending all FAA audits as primary representative and providing all responses.
- Conform all aircraft added to Part 135 charter.
- Perform scheduled and systematic evaluation audits for the Repair Station to ascertain its own abilities and procedural compliance to establish policy and guidance.
- Perform any one-time or recurring tasks requested by the FAA/PMI.
- Provide technical assistance to others.
