Job summary
This position provides leadership to agricultural and 4-H youth development programs in a dual assignment.The position is located in the Latimer County Extension Office in Wilburton, Oklahoma.Extension educators comply with all applicable laws, regulations, guidelines, etc., related to equal opportunity, civil rights, and affirmative action.

Responsibilities
• Plan, implement, and evaluate the total Cooperative Extension county program.• Provide research-based information to clientele in the areas of agriculture, family and consumer sciences, 4-H youth development, and community and rural development.• Involve local clientele and advisory groups in program planning.• Comply with all applicable laws, regulations, guidelines related to equal opportunity, civil rights, and affirmative action.• Effectively communicate and foster a positive view of the organization.• Adapt well to changing priorities and day-to-day demands.• Effectively manage time and resources.• Possess strong writing, communication, and organizational skills.• Continue personal professional development.• Build and maintain relationships with clientele, advisory groups, and other professionals.• Use computing and computer-based communications technology effectively.• Design, promote, present, and evaluate educational programs to reach diverse audiences.
Requirements
• Bachelor's in Agriculture or Closely Related Field.• Valid Driver's License and reliable transportation for travel connected with official duties.• Demonstrated ability to listen and communicate effectively.• Ability to adapt well to changing priorities and day-to-day demands.• Strong writing, communication, and organizational skills.• Commitment to personal professional development.• Ability to build and maintain relationships with various groups.• Competency and effective use of computing and computer-based communications technology.• Ability to design and evaluate educational programs.• Master's in Agriculture (preferred).
