Role Summary: The Director of Worship Experience provides vision, creativity and leadership by cultivating experiences that lead people into God's presence and encourages them in their next steps of faith. From the visual look and feel in worship spaces to the selection of worship music, service flow, building of worship teams and technical execution, the Director of Worship Experience will train, equip and coach team members to provide a worship experience that is excellent in execution, lifts up Jesus and fosters next steps in spiritual growth.
Role Responsibilities: Vision, create and safeguard a culture of worship that is experiential, Christ centered, and helps people take their next step of faith. Plan and lead modern worship services, supervises traditional worship coordinator Create, define and manage Worship Experience department budget Schedule and manage musicians and volunteers for modern worship Work in concert with teaching team to provide creative elements as a part of worship services and for special events Lead and assist the Guest Experience Coordinator in the development of volunteer team leaders ensuring next step processes are clear and executed Provide media (audio and video) content for social media channels and website to Communications Team weekly Lead experiential worship opportunities at staff meetings and retreats Lead experiential worship opportunities at special events including but not limited to Christmas, Lent, Holy Week, Easter, etc. Other duties as assigned Key Relationships: Staff: Worship Associate, Production Lead; Guest Experience, IT, Communications and NextGen Teams Volunteer leaders on worship teams, production and guest experience Personal Responsibilities: Exhibit a growth mindset continuously seeking ways to lead people into a growing relationship with Jesus which includes evaluating your ministry or support area against department goals and personal performance Live in such a way that your witness, example, service to others, and worship does not become a stumbling block. (I Timothy 3:2 and Acts 15:19) Working towards a tithe (10%) of income to Jesus and the mission of Calvary Continuously strive to live out Calvary's mission, vision and values Active participation in Growth Track (Worship, Groups, Serve, Give) Wins for this position: Regularly planned opportunities in worship for people to encounter Jesus and lead people into next steps of faith Worship sets that incorporate both new and familiar music Consistent schedule of worship leadership at each campus focusing on relationships developed within the campuses Worship team and band attend and are engaged in worship services when not on the platform Qualifications: Worship or worship/ministry related degree preferred, but not required (experience will be considered an equivalent) Proven team leadership skills Experience leading/planning worship including band prep, media, etc Experience developing and managing volunteers and paid team members Excellent vocal, instrument abilities Knowledge Apple OS, Planning Center, Pro Presenter, Abelton, Lighting Software, Google, etc. Attributes: Self-aware, teachable, collaborative, fun, honest and a servant's heart.
