Responsibilities
• Support: shipping, receiving and inventory departments• Prepare necessary documentation, including international shipping documentation• Billing of daily orders shipped• Contact carrier representative to schedule and issue shipping instructions• Work closely with transportation department and customer service department regarding shipping concerns• Creates Inbound Shipments in Warehouse Management System (WMS), using information supplied by SBUs• Verify accuracy of inbound shipments• Set up carrier appointments for inbound shipments, acts as first line of communication for inbound carriers upon arrival• Process inbound receipts• Perform daily cycle counts• Monitor and report inventory variances and perform research on discrepancies• Perform mandatory allotment of cycle counts daily• Work on special projects as assigned by Distribution Center management team
Requirements
• High School Diploma or GED• 1 year of experience with Microsoft Excel and Word• Some Logistics, Transportation, Trade Compliance or Supply Chain equivalent experience• Experience operating counterbalance and/or pallet jack• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to professionally interact with both internal and external suppliers and customers• Finds the ideal balance between making decisions independently and seeking approval when appropriate• Proactively and clearly communicates important, comprehensive, and specific information that others need• Holds self and others fully accountable for achieving objectives even when requirements change or are difficult to perform• Good organizational and time-management abilities• Focus on accuracy and attention to detail
