Description
Established in 1914, the Kentucky Board of Nursing (KBN) has an established history of protecting the well- being of the public by development and enforcement of state laws governing the safe practice of nursing, nursing education and credentialing. The Kentucky Board of Nursing has an opening for Executive Staff Advisor in the Executive Branch. By joining the KBN, Executive Branch you will be making a difference in ensuring the safety of and well-being of the public by providing administrative support to Executive Director and technical assistance to all the branches within KBN.


KEY RESPONSIBITIES: Review monthly status reports from all branches and make recommendations to process improvement. Editor of quarterly KBN connection magazine and other publication as directed. Synthesize data from all branches to develop monthly reports for the Executive and annual report that is submitted to Legislators and Governor's Office. Evaluates monthly technical reports to increase efficiency and effective of agency activities. Prepares briefing materials for Executive Director to use in meetings within or outside the agency including social media platforms to reach out to all licensees. Performs other duties as assigned. PREFERRED SKILLS: The ideal candidate will have strong written and verbal communication skills. Proficient in various software products such as Adobe. Microsoft Office. Strong time management skills. Critical and creative thinking. Excellent organizational skills. Exceptional attention to detail. Outstanding Customer Service skills. Ability to work as a team. Self-starter individually. Minimum Requirements
EDUCATION: Graduate of a college or university with a bachelor's degree.



EXPERIENCE, TRAINING, OR SKILLS: Four years of administrative or management experience.



Substitute EDUCATION for EXPERIENCE: A master's degree will substitute for one year of the required experience.



Substitute EXPERIENCE for EDUCATION: Additional administrative, management, or research experience will substitute for the required education on a year-for-year basis.

Probationary Period
