Requirements
• Master's degree in journalism, media relations, communication, education, public administration, business administration, or a closely related field• 8 years of progressive experience in developing and managing complex multimedia communication programs• Knowledge of communication management, public school system policies, and communication outreach programs• Knowledge of K-12 education systems and educational communication• Knowledge of FOIA/FERPA regulations and handling public information requests• Knowledge of applicable federal, state, and local regulatory requirements• Knowledge of communication technologies, print and non-print media, social media platforms, and media monitoring tools• Proficiency in technology, data compilation, analysis, and reporting• Strategic thinking and problem-solving skills• Supervisory and leadership skills• Ability to manage fiscal, physical, and human resources• Ability to conduct complex administrative studies• Ability to facilitate meetings and present information• Ability to establish and maintain collaborative working relationships• Ability to prioritize media opportunities and prepare supporting material• Effective communication skills
