Provides executive leadership directing a large broad-based multi-sectioned office responsible for student activities and athletic programs; develops, manages, supervises, evaluates, and modifies all activities, programs, projects, personnel, and physical and fiscal resources of the office; provides support to the chief with decision-making responsibilities for operational functions within the department; is responsible and accountable for strategic planning and outcomes. Required Any combination of education and experience equivalent to a master's degree in education, administration, or a related field. Eight (8) years of progressively more responsible experience in teaching and/or administration and supervision, some of which shall have been in a supervisory or leadership capacity. Advanced degree(s) beyond minimum degree requirements in a relevant field may be considered for some experience. Postgraduate educational license with endorsement(s) designated as appropriate to the assignment. Administration and supervision Prek-12 endorsement. Knowledge of the principles, practices, methods, functions, and current trends of administration of the office and related to student activities and athletics. Ability to manage fiscal, physical, and human resources to successfully carry out the function and programs of the office. Ability to supervise, evaluate, and lead. Ability to facilitate meetings and/or present information to groups. Ability to establish and maintain collaborative working relationships with personnel assigned to schools, other departments, public entities, and the community. Proficiency in the use of technology and data compilation, analysis, and reporting. Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
