The Rose Establishment is a high volume downtown Salt Lake City restaurant and bakery. Our attention to detail and sourcing of superb products and ingredients is one of the many passions that make us special. We are committed to our relationships with our local farms and purveyors and we believe eating food and making food can be creative, nourishing and fun. We're looking for someone who shares in this passion. Culinary school experience is not necessary but preferred. We are looking for someone with at least 2 years of food and management experience. Resumes with cover letters will be considered first, so tell us a little bit about yourself! Additionally please provide 3 professional references. Responsibilities: The Kitchen Manager is expected to have a passion for food and experience in executing dishes to a high standard. The person in this role is responsible for all aspects of day-to-day operations in the kitchen including: brunch/lunch menu service, inventory, purveyor ordering, waste tracking, food costing, keeping all products stocked, and maintaining the standard of quality at The Rose Establishment. 
The Kitchen Manager will be required to:
Communicate, guide, teach and direct the kitchen staff which is a team of 4 people. Engage in frequent communication with Leads and Line cooks regarding schedule, training, changes in recipes or techniques, challenges, concerns, etc. Maintain quality control Provide fresh, quality food using the best possible ingredients. Practice proper rotation of produce and other goods while maintaining proper organization and storage of all food. Conduct a monthly sales review of food cost, food waste and scheduling Place weekly orders, monitoring food inventory and organization. Maintain good relationships with local purveyors and farmers Schedule and maintain regular deep cleanings with kitchen staff as well as general upkeep and sanitation of kitchen Manage the small rooftop garden Job Type: Full Time
Hours: 40
PAY: $20/hr + tip shares
