About Us: Green Springs Inn is a family-owned and operated resort nestled on over 150 acres in the Cascade-Siskiyou National Monument. We are located 17 miles from Ashland, OR. Our inn offers a serene escape with 9 spacious cabins, 8 cozy lodge rooms, and a delicious on-site restaurant. We also have event space for weddings and retreats. We believe the team comes first. Position Overview: We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Executive Chef & General Manager to lead our restaurant operations. This role is pivotal in ensuring an exceptional dining experience for our guests and maintaining the high standards of service and quality that Green Springs Inn is known for. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in culinary arts, restaurant management, and team leadership.
Responsibilities: Menu Creation: Develop and innovate seasonal menus that reflect the local ingredients and the unique charm of Green Springs Inn. Ensure menus are appealing, cost-effective, and aligned with guest preferences.
Kitchen Management: Oversee all kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, and plating. Maintain high standards of cleanliness, safety, and efficiency.
Catering Management: Oversee all catering operations for events held at Green Springs Inn, including menu planning, execution, and client satisfaction.
Ordering and Inventory: Manage all aspects of food ordering and inventory. Ensure the kitchen is well-stocked with fresh, high-quality ingredients while minimizing waste and controlling costs.
Shift Scheduling: Create and manage shift schedules for kitchen and front-of-house staff, ensuring adequate coverage and smooth operation during all service periods.
Team Leadership: Recruit, train, and mentor a diverse team of culinary and front-of-house professionals. Foster a positive and collaborative work environment.
Guest Experience: Uphold and enhance the guest experience by ensuring excellent service, addressing feedback, and continuously improving dining offerings.
Financial Management : Monitor and manage the restaurant's budget, including labor costs, food costs, and other expenses. Implement strategies to achieve strong financial results.
Alcohol Oversight: Oversee the purchase, inventory, and service of alcoholic beverages. Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.
Compliance: Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and sanitation regulations.
Qualifications: Proven experience as an Executive Chef or similar role in a high-quality restaurant or hotel setting.
Strong leadership and management skills, with a track record of successfully leading and developing a team.
Excellent culinary skills and a passion for creating memorable dining experiences.
Solid understanding of kitchen operations, food safety, alcohol compliance, and sanitation standards.
Exceptional organizational and multitasking abilities.
Strong financial acumen and experience with budget management.
Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
