Job Description: Minneapolis College is seeking a full-time, permanent, Executive Assistant in the Office and Administrative Specialist Senior classification.
This is a shared position that provides executive-level, administrative support for senior administrators under limited supervision. Currently, the position supports the Vice President of Academic Affairs, the Vice President of Student Affairs, and the Associate Vice President of Academic Operations and Institutional Effectiveness. This position also interacts with other President's Council administrators, Deans, Directors, and Supervisors. This position oversees college-wide functions and ensures that division programs and activities are conducted in a collaborative manner with other divisions and departments on campus. This position directs and manages special projects as needed.
The Executive Assistant serves as initial contact and secondary back-up receptionist for the Executive Suite on a rotational basis and provides back-up administrative and clerical support as needed.
This position is considered confidential and is in the Commissioner's Plan.
This position may be eligible for partial telework in accordance with Minneapolis College's telework guidelines. Required Qualifications: Customer service skills sufficient to perform responsibilities described above with courtesy, respect, and interest in positive problem-solving manner. Answer the phone, refer callers, and greet visitors with courtesy and respect. Provide prompt, courteous and accurate information to customers in person, on the phone, and through e-mail and other written correspondence. English including reading, writing, and speaking sufficient to communicate with a wide range of internal and external customers, interpret and respond to a variety of materials, and follow detailed and complex instructions. Word processing sufficient to use software to create, format, edit, print, and save a variety of documents and spreadsheets. Lead work sufficient to manage, organize and direct tasks and projects, follow up with appropriate administrators and staff, lead meetings, and perform all responsibilities of the position. Ability to organize time and diverse tasks, set and meet deadlines. Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate with tact and diplomacy in difficult situations; maintain confidentiality in all relationships; interact with the public and establish good working relationships with faculty, staff and students; remain calm under stress or verbal attack. Math aptitude sufficient to calculate expenditures, resolve discrepancies, prepare and monitor budgets. Demonstrates an ongoing understanding of cultural fluency, incorporates culturally responsive practices, and actively engages in antiracism professional development learning opportunities Other Requirements: Current and / or former employees must be in good standing at Minneapolis College for consideration.

*Salary Range: $20.96- $28.37 per hour / $43,764 – $59,236 annual
