Position Summary


The Executive Assistant reports directly to the Vice President, Patient Financial Services to ensure smooth management and operation of the Patient Financial Services. This position maintains schedules for the Vice President, Executive Director, and management. The Executive Assistant is responsible for diverse and advanced secretarial and administrative functions. The Executive Assistant interacts with high level executives in a professional and confidential manner. This position is required to prepare professional correspondence and a variety of presentations utilizing Microsoft Office programs. The Executive Assistant position requires independent judgment and discretion in all aspects of the job and a high level of organizational skills with the ability to establish priorities.
This position requires the full understanding and active participation in fulfilling the mission of MemorialCare Health System. It is expected that the employee demonstrate behavior consistent with the core values. The employee shall support MemorialCare Health System strategic plan and the goals and direction of the performance improvement plan.


Essential Functions and Responsibilities of the Job Competently performs highly complex Executive Assistant duties, assisting the Patient Financial Services Vice-President, Executive Director, and Management. Competently manages daily office operations and difficult tasks including establishing relative priorities of current and anticipated workload by organizing and conducting assignments according to deadlines. Prepares, organizes, and tracks external as well as internal reporting information. Works independently on special projects from inception through completion. At all times, provides professional and exceptional customer service and sets an example when interacting with all customers. Able to adhere to all confidentiality policies and procedures and carries out all tasks in a pleasant and respectful manner. Able to recognize and perform essential duties and offers assistance to others or performs other required tasks when own assignments are completed. Performs other duties as assigned by management.
*Placement in the pay range is based on multiple factors including, but not limited to, relevant years of experience and qualifications. In addition to base pay, there may be additional compensation available for this role, including but not limited to, shift differentials, extra shift incentives, and bonus opportunities. Minimum Requirements Qualifications/Work Experience: Five years' experience in Executive Assistant supporting a senior executive or comparable position required. Excellent computer skills, including the Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Visio, and Excel) Highly organized with the ability to establish priorities and make common-sense judgment decisions. Ability to exercise independent judgment and critical thinking skills in all areas of responsibility Exceptional writing, editing, proofreading and communication skills Possesses excellent collaborative interpersonal skills and a strong work ethic Excellent organization and time-management skills Education/Licensure/Certification: High school diploma or equivalent GED required Bachelor's degree preferred Knowledge of hospital business office, preferred
