Interface (both written and verbal) with various internal ESPN and Disney departments, executives and business units
Manage highly confidential correspondence and information with utmost discretion and maintain standards of strict confidentiality with respect to all matters and documents
Book relatively infrequent travel for Deputy Chief Counsel and others, build travel itineraries, and manage Travel & Entertainment expenses
Ensure lawyers, including the Deputy Chief Counsel, are prepared for meetings and events, as necessary/requested. Research and report on specific topics as required
Draft, revise and redline correspondence and other documents and assist with document preparation
Assist in preparation and management of occasional meetings and presentations, including the creation of related materials (e.g., PowerPoint decks)
Assist with on-boarding new department employees
Manage and maintain various files, databases, and filing systems.
Participate in the ESPN Legal Department administrative team, providing backup to other assistants and assist with departmental tasks
Basic Qualifications Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office software programs (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc.), Adobe, SAP, NetDocs, Litera comparison software and Concur; ability and willingness to learn and use new software and tools, including document management systems
Ability to anticipate needs, take initiative, prioritize, meet deadlines, and be resourceful and flexible
Team player with strong interpersonal skills and ability to build strong relationships across multiple levels of employees and clients within and outside the organization
Highly organized, attentive to detail, strong proofreading skills, and ability to multi-task effectively
Ability to exercise appropriate judgment in executing tasks without supervision
Effective communication skills (written and verbal)
Preferred Qualifications 3 years of experience in an administrative capacity for a senior executive (VP or higher)
Experience supporting attorneys in a large law firm or large in-house legal department
Preferred Education Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
