Salary range: $50,000- $55,000 annually depending on qualificationsTo apply: send cover letter and resume to [REMOVED - SEE ORIGINAL LISTING]Objectives:Assists the Chief Executive Officer to ensure the National Council Office and its staff function in accordance with National Council policy, the Rule of the Society, and as individuals who see Christ in those in need.Assists the Chief Executive Officer to ensure the Vision, Mission, Values, and strategic plans of the Society in the United States are implemented professionally, on time, and within budget.Key Responsibilities:Serves as Executive Administrative Associate to the Chief Executive Officer.Supports the National Council Board of Directors and the National Foundation Board of Directors with preparing meeting materials, taking meeting minutes, and being the onsite hotel contact.Requires travel to two national meetings of 5-6 days each, plus several weekends annually for Board meetings.Serves as initial contact with guests and members at the National Office.Responsible for receiving, reviewing, and forwarding emails and calls.Provides prompt assistance in all areas of communication,e.g. phone, fax, correspondence, office visitors and inter-office.Composes standard response letters for the Chief Executive Officer and general information requests. Sends information as requested/directed.Oversees daily mail opening and distribution.Supports and assists in the implementation of National Council VisionSVdP goals.Provides special project support to the Senior Director of Finance and Facilities.Provides staff support for the Invitation for Renewal program.Maintains confidentiality about any proprietary data and privileged information concerning SVdP, its staff, members, volunteers, entities, and programs.Other assignments as determined by supervisor.Key Competencies of the Position:Efficient/effective communication oriented.Accuracy and detail oriented.Multitask oriented.Follow through and time consciousness.Knowledge of National Office operations, National Council structure, and knowledge of general filing system.Ability to initiate independent activity.Willingness to function as part of a team.Flexibility/adaptability to a variety of assignments.Ability to deal responsively with internal and external customers.Competent in developing measurable objectives.Skills, Knowledge, and Experience Requirements:Good communication skills: verbal and written.Computer literacy and familiarity with key operating systems that the National Council Office currently uses and the ability to produce 60 wpm.Ability to maintain focus on work throughout interruptions.Relates well to outside contacts and other staff members.Organizational ability.Proof-reading skill.Capable of operating a variety of office equipment and machines.Scope/Complexity:Serve as the National Council's first point of contact for members and the general public.Assist staff with specific projects and provide information to facilitate workflow at the direction of supervisor.Contextually the focus is on assisting the Chief Executive Officer in a secretarial capacity.
