Job Description:
As a Civil Excavation Foreman, you will play a crucial role in overseeing excavation operations, ensuring efficient and safe execution of projects. You will lead a team of skilled workers, manage resources, and coordinate activities to meet project deadlines and quality standards.
Responsibilities:
Supervise excavation crews and subcontractors on-site to ensure compliance with project plans, specifications, and safety regulations.
Plan and organize daily work activities, including excavation, grading, and backfilling operations.
Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to address project requirements and resolve any issues that may arise.
Conduct regular inspections of equipment, tools, and work areas to ensure safety and efficiency.
Train and mentor crew members on proper excavation techniques, equipment operation, and safety procedures.
Maintain accurate records of work progress, materials used, and equipment maintenance.
Requirements:
Proven experience as a Foreman or Supervisor in civil excavation projects.
Extensive knowledge of excavation techniques, equipment, and safety regulations.
Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team effectively.
Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and project plans.
Valid driver's license and/or relevant certifications may be required.
High school diploma or equivalent; additional certifications or training in construction management is a plus.
