Responsibilities
• Serve as a positive and professional representative of The Salvation Army• Lead the divisional strategy for events, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship of sponsors• Set annual income goals for divisional events and partnership campaigns• Articulate funding needs, program goals, objectives, functions, and activities• Lead fundraising event planning and discussions• Implement the Annual Holiday Store• Cultivate, solicit, and steward corporate sponsors for large events• Manage timeline, program, and task list for large events• Create fundraising materials and collateral• Conduct presentations and attend networking events• Raise funds and maintain donor information• Develop acknowledgments and final reports for sponsors• Coordinate events with Corps Officers and Advancement Department staff• Co-manage volunteers for fundraising events• Assist with identifying and recruiting corporate leaders for Advisory Councils and Boards
Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in business, communications, marketing, or public relations preferred• Minimum three years of special event organization and sponsorships• Proven record of raising $250,000+ through large special events• Ability to remain tactful and flexible under pressure• Ability to travel and work occasional weekends, holidays, and evenings• Exceptional customer service and organizational skills• Experience making presentations and communicating with donors• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and basic graphic design• Valid driver's license
