Responsibilities
• Design and manage special events, performances, symposia, conferences, and exhibitions• Manage and coordinate activities of events teams• Manage delivery of services for events• Develop budgets and provide oversight• Identify opportunities to improve event-related workflow• May develop press releases and marketing plans• Negotiate contracts/letters of agreement• May perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in a related field and three years of related experience• Knowledge of current best practices of event planning• Familiarity with marketing best practices and software platforms• Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and project management skills• Strong interpersonal skills• Solid political acumen and judgment skills• Proven project management skills• Experience with producing, running, and marketing events (preferred)• Working knowledge of HTML and Drupal (preferred)• Design experience, especially with Adobe Creative Suite or Canva (preferred)
