The Events and Media Associate position at the Wu Tsai Institute in New Haven, CT involves producing events and media to drive Institute priorities and create a welcoming, inclusive environment for the community.

Responsibilities
• Design and execute special events, performances, symposia, conferences, and exhibitions.• Manage and coordinate activities of events teams.• Manage delivery of services for events by working closely with internal and external service providers.• Develop budgets and provide oversight of expenditures.• Identify opportunities to improve event-related workflow and recommend enhancements.• May develop press releases and marketing plans.• Negotiate contracts/letters of agreement for activities.• May perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in a related field and three years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.• Knowledge of current best practices of event planning.• Familiarity with marketing best practices and software platforms.• Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and project management skills.• Strong interpersonal skills to build and maintain relationships at all levels.• Solid political acumen, social perceptiveness, judgment skills, decision-making, and problem-solving abilities.• Proven project management skills, including planning, analysis, and customer service.• Experience with producing, running, and marketing events (preferred).• Working knowledge of HTML, Drupal, and content management systems (preferred).• Design experience, especially with Adobe Creative Suite or Canva (preferred).
