The Office of Donor Engagement and University Events is a comprehensive event and donor engagement function reporting to the Office of the Chancellor. The primary purpose of the organizational unit is to provide management of key Chancellor events, university events, donor events and donor engagement opportunities. It also oversees the Grandview Ballroom event space, Grandview Catering, and Mountaineer A/V services. This unit also manages the scheduling of all non-academic spaces and events through the University Scheduling and Events Office. In addition to donor events, it supports University Advancement in developing and maintaining engagement strategies to enhance fundraising efforts.Job Duties & Responsibilities of the Event Publisher Coordinator include: Serving as the functional lead for 25Live Publisher and any publicized events calendars.Monitoring and reviewing the appropriate data for the main App State Events calendar and all other sub-calendars through the 25Live.Creating, designing, and managing multiple calendars to enhance the University's marketing and outreach as coordinated with University Communications (UComm).Collaborating with a wide variety of campus constituents to meet their calendar goals and needs, ensuring that UComm branding standards for aesthetics and usability are maintained across related calendars.Managing the departmental website.Establishing a set of integrated calendar policies, directions, and standards for the institution, departments, and administrative units alongside UComm. Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities Required for this Position Knowledge of and ability to learn and work effectively with software applications such as 25Live Pro and PublisherKnowledge of HTML, XML, and Web Services preferred, or the ability to learn basic computer programming language to support report writing requirementsKnowledge of, or ability to learn, Drupal.Ability to learn web tools and software applications quickly and adeptly.Knowledge of basic content publishing and graphic design using Adobe Creative Cloud.Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.Strong organizational skills and an ability to prioritize and complete simultaneous projects with minimal supervision.Excellent project management skills with the ability to be a self-starter and take initiative on projects.Ability to edit documents for spelling, grammar, and content.Ability to think critically and make clear, well-reasoned and timely decisions.Ability to interact professionally with diverse groups of staff, faculty, students, and the community in a service-oriented environment.Ability to work independently and follow through on assignments. Preferred Qualifications Professional experience in website content management, web design, content publishing, or event scheduling.At least one year of experience in professional writing and/or editing.Work experience in a higher education setting.Experience with 25Live and 25Live Publisher. Work Schedule/Hours: Mon-Fri, 8:00 am – 5:00 pmAfter-hours monitoring of calendar requests as needed based on the university calendar.
Anticipated Hiring Range: $57,762 - $63,124 Commensurate with experience
