About the Role:
As a valued member of our team, you will play a crucial role in developing and implementing our conference and trade show strategy. Your objective will be to create opportunities for rich interaction that showcases our solutions, highlights differentiation, and ultimately drives preference and demand. Working closely with our creative, sales, and executive teams, as well as the broader marketing organization, you will be instrumental in promoting and delivering compelling experiential marketing events.
Responsibilities:
Event Strategy and Planning:
Collaborate with internal stakeholders to define event goals, target audience, and messaging.
Conduct research on events and activities, presenting recommendations to internal stakeholders.
Maintain a master event list and calendar, ensuring deadlines are met.
Manage timelines and budgets to execute the approved event schedule.
Act as a department liaison with web, sales, and social teams for digital promotion and activation.
Event Execution and Management:
Manage event logistics, including contracting, shipping, vendor coordination, and travel arrangements.
Oversee sponsorship-related activities and executive speaker submissions.
Provide remote or on-site support for event logistics, such as registration, signage, AV setup, and catering.
Track event-related expenditures and ensure cost-effective solutions without compromising quality.
Collaborate with Sales and Sales Operations to ensure leads and contacts from the event are entered into CRM for tracking and calculation.
Post-Event Evaluation and Reporting:
Manage registration code creation and free pass distribution, tracking usage for internal reporting.
Conduct post-event evaluations to measure success and gather feedback for continuous improvement.
Analyze event metrics, including attendance, lead generation, and customer satisfaction, to assess effectiveness.
Prepare post-event reports summarizing key findings, insights, and recommendations for future events.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, or a related field.
Minimum of 2 years of experience in event planning and management, preferably in the life sciences, tech industries, or B2B sector.
Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple events concurrently.
Excellent organizational and time management abilities to meet deadlines and deliver exceptional results.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
Budgeting and financial management skills to ensure cost-effective event execution.
Ability to travel up to 20%.
