The team provides the organization with in-depth analytical support in evaluating existing operations and new business opportunities. They help lead and advise cross-functional project teams in executing the many action items and special projects that have been designed to help NYRR continue to reach its strategicobjectives.About the PositionThe Evaluation Leadhas the core responsibility of driving outcome management at NYRR to increase the quality and impact of our youth and community programs, and events. The Lead will apply data measurement and evaluation techniques and will share results, insights, and recommendations with stakeholders throughout the organization to foster continuous learning. This collaborative role will help assess and shape our nationally recognized programs and events and requires strong leadership, communication, and data analysis skills.Job Responsibilities(primary and secondary duties):CollaborationServe as a key resourceand strategic thought partner to theorganizationCollaborate with internal and externalstakeholdersto developmeaningfulmeasures (input, output, outcome)and methods ofprogram/project/productevaluationFacilitatea culture of innovation,continuouslearningand accountability bysupporting teams toidentifyand solvekey challengesandfindnewopportunitiesthatimprove outcomes for the communities we serve.Data Collection,Managementand EvaluationLead process of creating formative and summative evaluation frameworks and data toolsManage the development and implementationof data collection tools, emphasizing low-burden methods for engaging program and eventparticipantsDevelop and administer surveys, interviews, and focus groupsfor key programstakeholdersBuild andmaintainprimary data sets across multiple programsandproducts; merging data from multiplesourcesIn partnership with team members and IT colleagues define business and technology requirements for data collection across multiple platforms and workflowsData Analysis and ReportingExecute quantitative and qualitative analyses to report on program participation, progress against key program milestones, and participantoutcomesIn partnership withteams across the organizationsynthesize multiple sources of data into written reports that are communicative, visually appealing, and shared with senior leadership, board, and externalpartners/stakeholdersCommunicate and present programmatic insights tointernalNYRRteamsIdentifyand pursue areas foradditionalanalysisthat can support evidence-based decisions by teams and Senior Leaders.Keep up to date with latest trends in data analysis and program evaluation approaches.Support the organization to increasingly contextualize program results in the context of city-level health and social well-being measures.Job Requirements:Experience:Experience in non-profit, community-based, or academic environments conducting formative and summative program evaluations or appliedresearch3+years of experience with quantitative and qualitative research methods: Survey design, focus group/interview guide development, data collection,managementandanalysisExperience with outcomemanagementExperience related to youth, community based, and/or physical activityprogrammingFamiliarity with the NYC Department of EducationKnowledge of Salesforce CRM, Survey MonkeyEducation& Certifications:Undergraduate degree in statistics, psychology, sociology, public policy, public health, publicaffairsor related field and/or successful completion of relevantcoursework in program evaluation, analytics, or statisticspreferredAdvanced degreespreferredin public policy, public health, or publicaffairsa plusSkills and Attributes:Excellent written and verbal communication skillsStrong attention to detailOutstanding communication and collaboration skills, including the ability to work both independently and across multiple departments/functionsExcellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projectssimultaneouslyExcellentanalytical skills and experience in conducting descriptive and inferential statistical analysis of quantitative data and analysis of qualitativedataStrong ability to synthesize multiple sources of mixed-method data into reports for a wide range ofaudiencesStrong ability to translate data into practical, actionable insights andrecommendationsExperience with statistical data analysis software and/or advanced Excel skills, including analyticfunctionsOther Requirements:All staffare required towork theUnited AirlinesNYC Half,RBCBrooklyn Half, and theTCSNewYork CityMarathonOperate on a hybrid schedule, with two days per week in the NYRR office inNYC.Salary: $70,000 - $75,000/yearNYRR requires all employees to be vaccinated against COVID-19 unless approved for a medical or religious exemption.
