Our Mission: Making People Smile! Estimator - Overview: We are seeking a skilled Estimator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in print estimating and possess strong analytical abilities to provide accurate cost estimates for projects.
Responsibilities:
Analyze project specifications, including print requirements, materials, finishing, and packaging details Collaborate with sales, production, and design teams to understand client needs and project objectives Utilize estimating software and tools to calculate production costs, considering labor, materials, overhead, and profit margins. Evaluate production methods and recommend cost-effective solutions to meet client budgets and deadlines Prepare and present detailed and accurate cost estimates to clients, ensuring transparency and clarity in pricing Communicate effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders to address questions, concerns, and revisions to estimates. Stay updated on industry trends, pricing fluctuations, and technological advancements to maintain competitiveness in the market. Assist in the development of proposals, bids, and contracts as required. Qualifications:
College degree in accounting or manufacturing, or equivalent experience preferred High school diploma or GED required Strong computer and systems experience is required (Word, Excel, and ERP) Experience as an Estimator in the printing and packaging industry, with a focus on folding carton structures, materials, and finishing techniques. Strong knowledge of printing processes, including offset lithography, flexography, and digital printing. Strong Math aptitude Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in cost calculations and documentation. Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact professionally with clients and colleagues. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple projects simultaneously. Strong problem-solving abilities with a proactive and solution-oriented approach. Active team player who always exhibits a positive work attitude and can work with little supervision Willingness to grow and be challenged!
