Estimator Responsibilities:
Analyze blueprints, specifications, proposals, and other documentation to prepare time, cost, and labor estimates for projects. Obtain and compare quotes for labor, equipment, and materials from subcontractors and suppliers. Prepare and submit project bids and proposals. Collaborate with project managers and other team members to ensure successful project completion. Maintain accurate estimating records and provide ongoing analysis to improve project performance. Esstimator Job Functions:
Ability to read and interpret architectural and engineering drawings and specifications. Understanding of construction methods and materials. Strong communication and negotiation skills. Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and construction estimating software. Estimator Skills:
Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or related field. 5+ years of experience in commercial construction estimating. Knowledge of local building codes and regulations.
