Responsibilities
• Teach a multi-level ESL class to students• Enrolled in IWCC's secondary programs• Provide instruction under limited supervision• Follow the curriculum guidelines• Create lesson plans• Assess student progress• Provide feedback and support• Maintain a positive and inclusive learning environment• Communicate effectively with students and colleagues• Collaborate with other instructors
Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in Education• Ability to pass a background check• Valid U.S. driver's license and good driving record• Ability to occasionally lift 10 pounds• Ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time• Use hands to operate computer keyboard, telephone, and other basic office equipment• Ability to work with diverse populations• Strong communication and interpersonal skills• High degree of problem-solving• Ability to work with minimal supervision
