POSITION SUMMARY:
The Equipment Installation Specialist will be responsible for moving and installing equipment in several different types of process applications. This person will be responsible for moving equipment that might weight up to 40 tons, safely and professionally. They will also ensure proper leveling and alignment of the same equipment, motors and pumps.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsible for moving and installing equipment in several process industries
Responsible for ensuring proper leveling and alignment of equipment, motors, and pumps.
Travel domestically and internationally up to 60% per year and up to four (4) weeks duration.
Safely commute between St. Louis, MO Headquarters and our manufacturing facility in Red Bud, IL.
Develop and maintain relationships with employees at all locations.
Conduct activities in a safe and healthy manner and work in accordance with established safety and company requirements.
OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Perform other duties as assigned.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Work is performed in factories, and active construction sites. Exposure to harsh conditionssuch as: dust, fumes, chemicals, hazardous materials, noise, and varying weather and temperaturesfor short periods of time is possible. All employees are required to follow safety standards and wear all personal protective equipment in designated areas.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to walk, stand, use hands and fingers, grip, handle or feel -reach with hands and arms -climb or balance -stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl -and talk and hear. Ability to lift and carry 80 lbs. on a regular basis is required.
KNOWLEDGE / SKILL / ABILITY / EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE:
High school diploma or equivalent is required, Associate degree preferred.
Four (4) or more years of experience reading blue prints and assembly drawings is prefered.
Four (4) or more years of experience installing production or process equipment is prefered.
Four (4) or more years of experience moving equipment around plant floors, using fork trucks, cranes, and skates is prefered.
Four (4) or more years of experience overhead lifting experience with slings, and cables is prefered.
Two (2) or more years of experience leveling equipment with the use of precision levels is prefered.
Two (2) or more years of experience aligning pumps and motors is prefered.
Must have, or be able to obtain a Passport.
Background in food processing or Petro processing plants preferred
Current OSHA industry certificates preferred.
Excellent communication skills -both oral and written is required.
Exceptional attention to detail.
Excellent organization and planning skills.
Ability to effectively learn and acquire new knowledge and skills.
Computer skills and an in-depth knowledge of Microsoft Windows based programs are required.
Requires effective time management skills, personal conduct, and change management abilities.
Must have a valid drivers license.
Ability to effectively interact with co-workers, clients, vendors, and other business contacts.
