DESCRIPTION OF WORK
As an Equal Opportunity Specialist 3, under the supervision of the EEO Investigations Bureau Director, you are responsible for investigating complaints of discrimination and sexual harassment for the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. You conduct investigations, interview witnesses, collect data, and prepare reports of findings and recommendations for resolution in accordance with the applicable management directive.

Duties include advising employees and applicants on procedures for filing internal discrimination complaints, along with other avenues of external complaint filing. These include the EEO Commission, the Pennsylvania Human Relations Commission, the State Civil Service Commission, and the grievance procedure. You also have the opportunity to participate in the development, update, and implementation of EEO training for Commonwealth employees, managers, and supervisors, on the use and maintenance of the case management system. In addition, this position provides guidance to other investigators as requested.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
Full-time employment, 37.5-hour work week
Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with 60-minute lunch.
Telework:

You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time. You may be requested to come into the office for periodic meetings. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg.
Salary:

In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

One year as an Equal Opportunity Specialist 2 (Commonwealth title) ;

or
Three years of analytical experience in an equal opportunity program that includes two years of professional experience, and a bachelor's degree ;

or
An equivalent combination of experience and training .
