Environmental Specialist I

Job summary
DDC 4C is seeking an Environmental Specialist I to provide environmental compliance consultation and management services.Assignments include developing management plans to comply with environmental control regulations.Thorough knowledge of State, Federal, and Local regulations required.

Responsibilities
• Plan, coordinate, and conduct environmental conservation and pollution prevention projects.• Develop project plans and outline environmental procedures.• Prepare reports and follow up on noncompliance findings and violations.• Participate in inspections and audits to ensure compliance.• Analyze data and identify trends for improvements.• Prepare documentation and reports on assigned projects.• Organize and administer meetings on environmental issues.• Develop and conduct environmental training.• Work on issues related to compliance and remediation actions.
Requirements
• Bachelor's Degree in specialization or related discipline, or 2 yr. applicable experience.• Ability to pass background checks for access to Federal sites.• Working knowledge/understanding of other Environmental Compliance and Permitting regulations.• Preferred certifications and training listed.• Respiratory Protection qualification required.• Dependable, flexible, and able to travel and work in the field.• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
