VVater seeks a motivated and passionate Environmental Engineering Intern to join our team. This internship offers hands-on experience in various aspects of environmental engineering, including environmental assessment, remediation, water resources management, and sustainable design. The ideal candidate is dedicated to ecological stewardship, eager to learn, and possesses strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
This is an hourly paid internship; the working hours are 32-40 per week. Responsibilities: • Assist in conducting environmental assessments, including site investigations and environmental impact assessments.
• Collect and analyze environmental data, such as soil, water, and air samples, using appropriate testing methods and equipment.
• Assist in designing and implementing remediation plans for contaminated sites, including soil and groundwater remediation strategies.
• Support the development of water resources management plans, including stormwater management, wastewater treatment, and water conservation measures.
• Assist in preparing technical reports, environmental permits, and regulatory compliance documents.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop sustainable solutions for environmental challenges.
• Perform other engineering tasks and support the environmental engineering team as needed.
Qualifications: • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's degree program in Environmental Engineering or Civil Engineering, focusing on environmental engineering or a related field.
• Strong technical skills and proficiency in environmental engineering software and tools.
• Knowledge of environmental regulations, standards, and best practices.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Prior internship or relevant work experience is a plus.
