Step into Your New Role Kleinfelder is seeking an Environmental Database Specialist to be based in the Denver Office to assist in air quality regulatory compliance. Hybrid work options are available for this position.
The primary role of this position is to provide engineering technical support for various aspects of environmental compliance programs including preparation of greenhouse gas reporting, emission inventories, permit application preparation, regulatory review, recordkeeping, and reporting, with an emphasis in environmental database development and administration (e.g. ACTS). This position is highly technical requiring excellent data management and interpretation skills, strategic thinking to identify and apply logical solutions, ability to understand and apply engineering calculations and quality control procedures, good writing and organization capabilities, ability to work independently or as part of a larger group with capacity to support multiple assignments. A key focus of this position is to provide environmental database management support using Oracle SQL to ensure compliance with environmental requirements associated with the oil and gas industry. The position may also include responsibilities for supporting field work that can include data acquisition and analysis, equipment inventories, and other compliance efforts requiring facility visits.
Experience: 6-10 years of experience Technical accuracy, the ability to work efficiently and effectively, and have excellent communications skills is necessary. Must have strong computer skills including a strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Word and Excel Some experience in the environmental or oil and gas fields preferred, but not required. Knowledge of relational database systems and Structured Query Language (SQL). Experience with the Intelex ACTS platform required. Education: BS in environmental engineering and/or compliance, physics, chemical engineering, mechanical engineering, atmospheric science, environmental science, computer science, or related field, or an equivalent combination of experience and education. The expected salary range for the position is displayed in accordance with the Colorado Equal Pay for Equal Work Act. Final agreed upon compensation is based upon individual qualifications and experience.
Salary range: $68,016-$112,632
