Who are we looking for? Our client is seeking an occupant who will lead the planning, implementing, and maintaining of all environmental activities within the organization including industrial hygiene, environmental health, radiation protection, marine biology, water treatment, ambient air quality protection, meteorology, oceanography, solid and hazardous waste management, groundwater and wastewater monitoring, surface water hydrology, water conservation, environmental law, environmental compliance, etc. to ensure compliance with government and corporate environmental regulations and standards. the candidate will also act as the focal point for the management of Naturally Occurring Radioactive Material (NORM).
Minimum Requirements Bachelor's degree or Master's degree in Environment or Chemistry, Biology, or civil engineering with Environment-related experience. 10 years of environment-related experience in the oil and gas industry. Experience in handling projects/tasks related to waste management, water conservation, and energy efficiency. EMS ISO:14001 certificated or Experienced in leading/conducting EMS audits & other environment-related audits. Key Responsibilities Implements the corporate environmental policy and monitors compliance, whilst staying current with all applicable Company and National environmental regulations and guidelines as well as all the company environmental, environmental health, and industrial hygiene programs. This includes the supervision and coordination of local surveys and sampling, the interpretation of measurement results, and reviewing environmental aspects of contract documents as well as monitoring the environmental performance of contractor operations. Responds to concerns and requests for information from EPD, and obtains technical advice from EPD as needed. Provides regular input to management on KPIs and other indicators used to monitor environmental and health performance. Recognizes the process and techniques used to identify, analyze, and manage environmental risks as a result of business operations. Organizes and participates in major surveys such as Environmental Performance Assessments (EPAs), Naturally Occurring Radioactive Material (NORM) surveys, Occupational Health Hazard Assessments (OHHAs), HAZCOM Assessments, Chemical Handling Assessments, Waste Management Compliance Audits, and Environmental Health surveys.  Actively seeks to resolve any findings from these surveys. Provides follow-up information and updates reports to EPD as required. Coordinates all EMS-related activities within the organization as appropriate, including the development of environmental objectives and indicators, tracking of performance and costs, and record-keeping and reporting functions. 2. Interviews Stage: 2.1 LHR Americas preliminary phone/video interview: A member of the Talent Acquisition team from LHR Americas will first schedule a call with you to discuss the details of the position, your interests, and qualifications. Furthermore, your English level will be evaluated at this stage, ONLY native or advanced speakers will approve this evaluation.
If this preliminary phone/video interview is successful, your resume will be submitted to our client.
If your preliminary phone/video interview is not successful, our Talent Acquisition consultant will inform you.
2.2 Client Face to Face interview: This interview will happen only if your resume is approved by our client, we cannot guarantee the time our client will take to approve your resume, but it should take less than a week.
If your resume is approved a member of the Talent Acquisition Team will get back to you and schedule a face-to-face meeting in a defined location. You will be told to go to the location.
The client interview contains technical questions that help assess your familiarity with problem-solving in your given field and may include a behavioral evaluation. Be prepared to explain how you approach problems and produce solutions.
If your face-to-face interview is successful, the hiring team will further evaluate your resume, decide, and then receive a conditional job offer.
If your face-to-face interview is not approved, LHR Americas will inform you.
2.3 There could be additional video interviews with hiring managers, which may also contain technical questions that help us assess your familiarity with problem-solving in your given field.
3. Conditional Offer: A successful interview may result in a conditional offer of employment.
Conditions for employment include but are not limited to medical examinations, and permission to secure a visa to work and reside in-country.
