Entry Writer Ii - Hybrid

Schedule: In office daily for 90 days of training. Hybrid 2 days in office after training on Mondays and Wednesdays, work from home on Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday Responsibilities: Ability to handle all types of entries and commodities Ability to handle various government agency transmission - Advanced understanding of Import regulations Ability to research basic items within Customs regulations, CROSS, and cbp.gov  Ability to assist newer staff with basic entry processing knowledge Ability to read tariffs and help assign HTS - Ability to ask Importer questions necessary for proper classification Requirements: 3+ years of Import Customs Entry Writing experience with a freight forwarding company CCS certification preferred Bachelor's degree suggested but not required Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite - Basic working knowledge of Excel Desk management – organization & management of emails. Attention to detail and organizational skills Team player Excellent verbal and written communication Ability to work independently and manage desk to defined service levels Communicate with manager when unable to meet service levels Problem-solving skills.
