Job Summary If you're interested in an Entry Level Technology Development Field Assistant job, then this is the best role for you. Technology Development & Agronomy Organization Field Assistants to support operations. The positions will be located at various Technology Development (TD) locations across the US. While on assignment, you will report directly to the ARM or TDR, who is responsible for coordinating the local field research program. The Field Assistants will serve as key members of the local TD team that generates high quality product data for our customers and will have opportunities to interact with client representatives and farmer cooperators.
Job Description Comply with all OSHA and client safety requirements. Assist with plot seed preparation, product delivery, field preparation, plot staking, and regulatory compliance. Assist ARM or TDR with planting activities. Assist with required data collection. Mowing, hand weeding, spraying border areas, signage. Participation in plot tours, field trainings, and field days. Assist and support all harvest activities in a region. Assist with preventative maintenance and repair of equipment. Understand and carry out all USDA-APHIS & client Stewardship requirements for regulated plot testing. Tow equipment on trailer. Skills Required 1-3 Years of Experience. Ability to lift up to 70 lbs. Ability to operate farm equipment. Able to live and work in a remote environment. Familiarity with Windows Operating Systems/ basic computer skills. Education/Training/Certifications High School Diploma or equivalent (GED). College degree: Prior agricultural experience or field research experience. Certified Pesticide Application License or ability to obtain a license. Additional Requirements Must be able to pass drug screen. Shift: 07:00 AM Valid driver's license. Ability to pass pre-employment Driver Checks (MVR & FMCSA Checks). These are temporary assignments that last for up to nine months.
