Responsibilities
• Builds analytic and design skills• Transportation Design includes but not limited to: Complete Streets, Highways, Interchanges, Bridges, Box Culverts, Storm and Sanitary Sewers, Detention Basins, Recreational Trails, ADA Sidewalks and Airports (Global and Local)• Conducts engineering design under the supervision of an experienced engineer• Creates designs, calculations, sketches, diagrams, schematic drawings, and final working drawings• Collects and analyzes data• Uses computer software as a tool for solving basic engineering problems• Assists in preparing plan sets with Project Managers and design staff• Assists with survey in the field, as needed, and development of CAD base maps
Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or related field• Must have a Valid U.S. Driver's License• EIT or the ability to acquire in 6 months• Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs• Experience using AutoCAD and MicroStation
