Work with a dedicated career partner specialized in your skill set We advocate on your behalf so you get what you want and need out of your job Get performance feedback, career advice, and access to ongoing professional development tools Build your career and learn new skills through projects as diverse as your curiosity You are eligible for benefits and competitive wages that are paid weekly Responsibilities include: Receiving and unpacking samples Physically delivering orders and samples throughout different areas/floors of the hospital and/or clinic Identifying the test the sample is for Checking for contamination Preserving the sample properly Sorting and cataloging each item accurately Unpacking and routing specimens to their respective staging areas Accurately identifying and labeling specimens Packing and shipping specimens to proper testing facilities Properly preparing and storing excess specimen samples Data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner Resolving and documenting any problem specimens Making sample follow up phone-calls Introducing and preparing biological specimens to the laboratory to ensure accurate processing Skills & Qualifications: No certification required Experience In a Healthcare Setting Is Strongly Preferred Ability and willingness to receive and deliver samples throughout a large hospital is critical in this role About Actalent: Actalent connects passion with purpose.
