As the Enterprise Networking Manager, you will be responsible for designing, managing, and maintaining our large US & European network infrastructure. The manager will take full ownership of office networking (LAN, WAN, Wi-Fi, SD-WAN, build-outs etc) in 65 offices and will work to build & staff the Network Monitoring and Observability team. This role requires hands-on, project and people management skills.
This position is in Washington, DC and offers a hybrid schedule of 3 days onsite, 2 days remote.
**Responsibilities**
Build the Network Monitoring and Observability team
Lead & manage 2 teams of network engineers and tech leaders
Act as a player-coach, who can mentor & coach team members into highly productive team players
Drive continuous improvement by focusing on engineering excellence
Translate business requirements into technical requirements, develop project plan and work schedules for use by network scrum teams
Develop and maintain an in-depth working knowledge of the CoStar Group network infrastructure
Create and maintain detailed documentation related to the processes, services, locations and capabilities related to our network
Adopt an owner-operator mindset and demonstrate full technical and managerial ownership
**Basic Qualifications**
Bachelors Degree required from an accredited, not for profit university or college.
A track record of commitment to prior employers
5+ years in a Technical Management role
10+ years hands-on networking experience including managing large networks and diagnosing complex issues
Demonstrated experience using and improving monitoring & analytics tools
Network device automation & configuration management
Experience leading technical teams, working through complex requirements and offering relevant, timely technical solutions
Strong written and verbal communication skills; Must be able to communicate at a level appropriate to the audience (direct reports, peers and senior management)
Excellent team building, negotiation and consensus building abilities
**Preferred Qualifications and Skills**
One or more relevant certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, CCIE, CCSA, CCSE, PCNSE, PCSNA, Scrum Master (CSM), etc.
Should have a good understanding of routing protocols BGP, EBGP, IBGP
Supporting enterprise Wi-Fi over LAN and WAN environments (preferably Aruba)
Supporting large deployments of Palo Alto firewalls and SD-WAN devices
Participate in new office build designs and project management
Demonstrated experience using & improving various monitoring tools such as PRTG, Solarwinds, LogicMonitor, Zabbix, Datadog, ManageEngine, Nagios, etc
Proficiency using diagnostic tools such as Splunk, Azure Log Analytics, syslog, Wireshark, and various CLI tools such as netstat, netcat, curl, wget, grep, sed, etc
Working in environments with >3,000 end points (VMs, workstations, etc)
Config management tools like Ansible, Chef, Puppet, Terraform
Work with various networking technologies including but not limited to:
o Firewalls Palo Alto, CheckPoint, AWS Security Groups
o Cisco Nexus switches
9Ks, 7Ks, 5Ks, 3Ks, FEXs
o SSL VPN solutions
Palo Alto, Junos Pulse, CheckPoint, Zscaler ZPA
