Description: As the Engineering Manager - Test at Our Award Winning Client , you'll play a pivotal role in overseeing the testing processes within the Electrical Engineering division. Working closely with product development teams, you'll ensure the robustness and compliance of our products while driving continuous improvement in testing capabilities. From facilitating standardized and unique tests to mentoring technicians and engineers, your expertise will be key in maintaining our high standards of quality and safety.
Responsibilities: Lead the design and implementation of test circuits, instrumentation, and controls for electrical power distribution apparatus, focusing on high voltage, high power, and thermal testing. Evaluate test methods as per industry standards, developing procedures to enhance repeatability and efficiency. Collaborate with Power Test Lab (PTL) management to ensure compliance with certification requirements, maintaining a safe working environment. Provide technical guidance to lab personnel, fostering their development and ensuring best practices are followed. Oversee 'hands-on' testing of MV electrical tests, assessing and implementing appropriate testing approaches. Recommend resource strategies and state-of-the-art equipment to enhance the lab's overall value to the company. Qualifications: Required (Basic) Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited institution Minimum of five (5) years' experience in electrical testing and/or design of electrical products Preferred Qualifications: Experience in medium or high voltage electrical testing and/or product design Experience in developing electrical test systems (AC/DC, impulse, power/short-circuit, thermal, etc.) Experience with lab automation software and electrical system modeling PE/Professional Engineer license preferred, but not required Skills: Knowledge in the application of medium voltage electrical distribution equipment Familiarity and practice with industry testing standards of IEEE C37 and C57 Series or Equivalent IEC Knowledge of power test equipment and measurement instrumentation Six-sigma trained to support measurement uncertainty evaluation Benefits: Competitive Compensation Bonus Opportunities Comprehensive Benefits Package Career Growth Opportunities Note: Resumes will be maintained in strict confidentiality until such time as we engage in a detailed discussion regarding a specific opportunity, and both parties mutually agree to proceed.
