Engineering Manager

The Engineering Manager will be responsible for leading the plant engineering team. The team will be responsible for all engineering including drafting, programming, industrial planning, and project implementation. As well as leading the development of engineering standards, process improvements and technical development in accordance with the company. Duties:
Including but not limited to: Lead, mentor, and develop the engineering team focusing on technical development, practical hands-on training, and a culture of cost savings. Create and monitor department operational and capital budgets. Determine and maintain the human and technical resources necessary to successfully meet capacity demand requirements and long-term strategic objectives. Establish departmental organizational structure, operational systems, project planning procedures, and quality control measures to maintain high standards of engineering documentation, on-time delivery, and divisional profitability. Provide strong technical leadership in directing engineering design toward increasingly efficient lean manufacturing methods. Liaise with operations to investigate new suppliers and learn new manufacturing methods and processes for efficient production resulting in excellent quality. Develop procedures and tracking measures that promote clear and effective communication channels with the other departments within the division. Establish metrics that measure engineering performance. Promote communication and the development of engineering basics across the organization. May recruit, hire, train staff, evaluate employee performance and recommend or initiate promotions, transfers, and disciplinary action. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in engineering 5+ years of experience of engineering in HDPE and PVC manufacture, preferably in the store fixture industry Demonstrated hands-on shop floor experience in the HDPE and PVC manufacture.
